Ben Hansen is the Senior Manager for Global O&M Service Solutions at SMA America, the U.S. subsidiary of SMA Solar Technology AG. In this role, Hansen leads project management efforts to design the O&M solutions that SMA offers around the globe. Prior to joining SMA, Hansen worked extensively in the construction and technology industries with companies such as AT&T and Cisco Systems. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Regis University and a Project Management Certificate from The George Washington University.

Zach Kreifels is the O&M Performance and Analytics Product Manager at SMA. In this role he works with sales and operations to develop, price, and market new solutions ensuring each facility managed by SMA performs optimally. Prior to joining SMA, Zach’s career has been focused in the energy industry with First Solar and Black & Veatch. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.

ALEXANDER WOLF /// GENERAL MANAGER - METEOCONTROL CENTRAL AMERICA
Alexander Wolf is the General Manager of Meteocontrol Central America, subsidiary of meteocontrol Germany, the leading global provider of independent solar monitoring systems. Mr. Wolf is in charge of the operations in the region of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, covering sales, technical support as well as independent engineering services, like yield forecasts, technical due diligence, and energy and weather data analytics. With members of his team located in Central America and Mexico the organization has the right set-up to satisfy customer demands for more and more sophisticated monitoring and O&M solutions in the whole region. Mr. Wolf worked in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector for more than ten years, being one of the pioneers to establish and promote innovative technologies in El Salvador and the neighboring countries. Previously, Mr. Wolf gained vast international experience while working for several years in business development at Siemens Industry Sector in Germany and living in Scandinavia, South America, the United States and Australia. Mr. Wolf holds an engineering degree from Mittweida University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

Cajeme Villarreal es Director General de Análisis y Vigilancia del Mercado Eléctrico en la Secretaría de Energía. En esta posición dirige el diseño y la implementación de política regulatoria que rige al sector eléctrico en México. Asimismo, está a cargo de monitorear que el Mercado Eléctrico Mayorista opere en condiciones de eficiencia y competencia efectiva.

Previamente trabajó en la Unidad de Planeación de la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público, donde elaboró los Criterios Generales de Política Económica para 2018 y supervisó el cumplimiento de las metas fiscales del sector público para 2017. Otras posiciones en el gobierno federal incluyen: asesor de la Subsecretaria y del Secretario de Hacienda y Crédito Público, Director General Adjunto de Análisis y Planeación en el Servicio de Administración Tributaria, así como asesor y Coordinador de Asesores del Subsecretario de Transporte.

Cajeme Villarreal estudió economía en la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, El Colegio de México y la Universidad de Chicago, donde se especializó en economía del sector público y microeconomía aplicada.

MAURICIO HERRERA /// GENERAL DIRECTOR ELECTRICITY MARKETS - CRE
Mauricio Herrera is General Director of Electricity Markets at the Energy Regulatory Commission of Mexico. He is responsible for the regulation overseeing of the short term, long term electricity markets, and for the Clean Energy Certificates market. Previously, he served as Deputy General Director of the Wholesale Electricity Market in charge of market surveillance and in charge of the coordination of the activities of the Independent Market Monitor.
He has over 10 years of experience in public service both at national and international level, specifically in regulatory policy of the electricity and telecommunications markets, as well as antitrust.
Mauricio Herrera has a Master’s degree in Economics with a major in Applied Macroeconomics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He is also an Electrical Engineer from the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas de El Salvador.

Marcos Valenzuela Ortiz received a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the ITR of Tijuana (1979) and a master's degree in Electrical Power Systems from UANL (1992). Marcos has extensive experience in the area of analysis and operation of power systems and in the development and management of energy contracts. He has had substantial interaction with U.S. and Canadian companies in developing energy transactions for the Baja California electrical system. He has been working in the CENACE group in the implementation of the wholesale electricity market in Mexico.

HECTOR OLEA /// PRESIDENT - ASOLMEX
With more than 23 years of experience in the Mexican energy sector, Hector Olea has actively participated in the promotion and development of renewable energy in the country. Since 2004, Hector Olea is President and CEO of Gauss, a business development firm specialized in the energy sector. Gauss activities are focused in the identification, development and structuring investment opportunities in renewable energy projects, which accounts for more than US$700 million in greenfield projects. Before, he acted as CEO of Suez in Mexico, where he led its transformation into a nationwide energy company. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Olea acted as Chairman of the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). He is President of the Asociación Mexicana de Energía Solar Fotovoltaica (Asolmex) and Chairman of the Mexican Section of the Mexico-US Business Energy Council. He is an economist from ITAM (Mexico) and earned his Master and PhD in Economics at Rice University (US). In 1989, he was distinguished with the Banamex Economics Award.

Ramón inició su Carrera en PwC en Madrid, España. Posteriormente se mudó a México para ocupar el cargo de Consultor Senior en Capital Markets Group y después como Asesor Financiero en KPMG en la Ciudad de México. Más adelante se sumó al equipo de Banco Santander, donde fue responsable de la estructuración de transacciones financieras por más de 5 años.

El perfil bancario de Ramón ha sido clave para Zuma Energía, pues ha supervisado la participación de la compañía en las subastas y en los procesos de financiamiento que permitieron a Zuma ser la primera compañía especializada en energías limpias en asegurar financiamiento para sus proyectos.

Actualmente es responsable de la obtención y estructuración financiera en Zuma Energía.

MIGUEL ÁNGEL ALONSO /// GENERAL MANAGER MEXICO - ACCIONA
Miguel Angel Alonso realizó estudios de Ingeniería Industrial en la Universidad de Zaragoza y continuó su desarrollo académico en la Universidad del Valle de México obteniendo la Licenciatura en Derecho, para posteriormente alcanzar la Maestría en Marketing y Gestión Comercial en la Universidad de Navarra, a su vez llevo a cabo estudios a este nivel relacionados a la Gestión Ambiental en el Instituto de Formación y Estudios Sociales, ampliando su trayectoria académica en Alta Dirección en el Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE).

En el año 2000 inicia su gestión en la empresa ACCIONA, como Director de Proyecto en el departamento de Ingeniería y Construcción con la finalidad de expandir la compañía en el ramo de Energías Renovables a nivel internacional en países como España, Alemania, Italia, Irlanda, Canadá y México.

Durante el año de 2006, Miguel Angel Alonso Rubio arriba a México por la empresa ACCONA, con el cargo de Director Técnico dirigiendo la implementación de ACCIONA ENERGIA EN MEXICO.

En el año de 2008, asumió la responsabilidad de la Dirección General de Acciona Energía México, la que constituye uno de los modelos a seguir en el ramo de la Energía Renovable, brindando Sustentabilidad y Compromiso Social en México.
