With more than 23 years of experience in the Mexican energy sector, Hector Olea has actively participated in the promotion and development of renewable energy in the country. Since 2004, Hector Olea is President and CEO of Gauss, a business development firm specialized in the energy sector. Gauss activities are focused in the identification, development and structuring investment opportunities in renewable energy projects, which accounts for more than US$700 million in greenfield projects. Before, he acted as CEO of Suez in Mexico, where he led its transformation into a nationwide energy company. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Olea acted as Chairman of the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). He is President of the Asociación Mexicana de Energía Solar Fotovoltaica (Asolmex) and Chairman of the Mexican Section of the Mexico-US Business Energy Council. He is an economist from ITAM (Mexico) and earned his Master and PhD in Economics at Rice University (US). In 1989, he was distinguished with the Banamex Economics Award.

Garry McCall is the Director, Global Operations & Maintenance at Canadian Solar. In his role, Garry is responsible for overseeing Canadian Solar’s 1500 MWp O&M portfolio of utility scale and commercial installations globally. He is also responsible for future O&M growth and expansion. Garry has over 15 years of project management experience including 4 years of EPC construction management at Canadian Solar where Garry managed over 300MWp of utility scale solar construction projects. Garry has a Manufacturing Engineering Technology Diploma from Niagara College and is a Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT) from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Jeff Pavlovic holds degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Duke University, a masters degree in Business Administration from Stanford University and a masters degree in Economics from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas. He is currently partner in Bravos Energía, a company dedicated to the representation of generation assets in the Mexican Wholesale Power Market, the development of price forecasts, and other value added services for market participants. Previously, he was Managing Director of Electric Industry Coordination and Managing Director of Generation and Transmission in the Ministry of Energy and Unit Leader of Modernization in the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE). In the United States, he was Manager of Generation Control and Dispatch for Xcel Energy in Denver, Colorado. He began his career as a financial analyst at LEK Consulting, where he specialized in the unbundling of electric utilities. He has earned a NERC system operator certification and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Eduardo is the Power & Utilities leading partner in PwC Mexico. He’s also part of the Strategy& team (formally Booz & Company). He has +12 years of consulting experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, with emphasis on Clean Energy and new technologies. He has developed engagements related to National Energy Planning, Growth Market strategies, Business Model Design, Due Diligence and Post Deal Services.

Prior to join Strategy& in Mexico, he worked 10 years in the Strategy & Operations office at PwC Spain. He has also worked in multiple geographies, including Central and West Europe, Central and South America and Australia.

Eduardo holds an MBA from ESADE Business School (Barcelona), a Master in Risk Management, U. Francisco de Vitoria and is an Industrial Engineer from Universidad Anahuac Mexico where he has been professor of Strategic Planning.

Degree in Industrial Engineering with 5-years experience in the Mexican energy sector. Has collaborated with Mexican development banks to provide financing for renewable and conventional energy projects, among them, 11 wind farms, 2 solar plants and 4 co-generation plant, which sum up an installed capacity of more than 3 GW. Furthermore, has been involved in the process to issue the first Mexican Green bond, the first bond for a private wind park in Mexico and the financing of the first gas plant with full merchant risk cashflows.

Previamente, Jaime fue Director de una de las principales firmas de corporate finance españolas, contando con más de 10 años de experiencia en operaciones de compra, venta y fusión de empresas, valoraciones y captación de capital y deuda en una diversidad de sectores, asesorando a las principales firmas de capital de riesgo y a grandes clientes industriales en transacciones nacionales y cross-border durante este periodo. Su experiencia previa incluye la gestión de proyectos de auditoría y consultoría para grupos financieros y fondos de inversión como miembro senior de la práctica de Mercado de Capitales en Deloitte España.

Licenciatura en Dirección y Administración de Empresas por la Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (UPCO-ICADE, Madrid). Domina inglés y español.

Alexander Wolf is the General Manager of Meteocontrol Central America, subsidiary of meteocontrol Germany, the leading global provider of independent solar monitoring systems. Mr. Wolf is in charge of the operations in the region of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, covering sales, technical support as well as independent engineering services, like yield forecasts, technical due diligence, and energy and weather data analytics. With members of his team located in Central America and Mexico the organization has the right set-up to satisfy customer demands for more and more sophisticated monitoring and O&M solutions in the whole region. Mr. Wolf worked in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector for more than ten years, being one of the pioneers to establish and promote innovative technologies in El Salvador and the neighboring countries. Previously, Mr. Wolf gained vast international experience while working for several years in business development at Siemens Industry Sector in Germany and living in Scandinavia, South America, the United States and Australia. Mr. Wolf holds an engineering degree from Mittweida University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

Daniel Gutiérrez is the Interim Director of Project and Loan Administration at NADB, overseeing all departmental functions, including project implementation, contractual compliance, and collateral agent and asset management activities.

He has over 15 years of experience in project finance transactions, debt structuring, and credit risk analysis, including more than eight years of experience as an asset portfolio manager for renewable energy and public infrastructure projects.

Daniel joined NADB in 2010 as a senior project development specialist and in 2012, he became part of the Project Administration team. Prior to joining NADB, he worked for the banking sector in Mexico City as the Business Development Manager for Dexia Credit Local.

Early in his career, Daniel worked as an advisor in the Ministry of Finance in Mexico and occupied the positions of senior analyst and associate director at the Latin American Public Finance Division of Fitch Ratings in Mexico City.

His academic credentials include a B.A. in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and an MBA from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, plus executive training from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.

Luis’s previous experience as an entrepreneurial project manager and energy consultant comes with a proven track record in utilizing scalable expansion plans. Luis has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and currently lives in Mexico City.

PhD in Engineering and Applied Sciences, her research lines are: Social Demand for Energy and Innovation and Sustainability. She was Executive Director of the Prolaif-Lamothe Group; General Director of Scientific and Technological Development of the Government of the State of Morelos; Director of Projects in the Corrosion and Protection Engineering company and General Director of the Lavín Center for the Development of Innovation and Technology Transfer.

He is a member of the Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities of the State of Morelos, of the Mexican Society for the Dissemination of Science and Technology, of the Commission for Innovation in CeMIE-Sol and of the Network of Women in Renewable Energy and Efficiency Energy, in addition to being a mentor of the latter.

Since August 2016, he has been in charge of the Secretary of Technological Management and Linking of the Institute of Renewable Energies of the UNAM, office of Technological Transfer with recognition of the Sectorial Fund of Innovation CONACyT - Economy.

Currently, he is a Senior Academic Technician B; Administrative Manager of CeMIE-Sol; Coordinator of the Solar Energy Network and Vice President of the National Solar Energy Association.
